Program Full-Description

New to PeoplesHub: Tech Support Clinics!   At PeoplesHub, we train organizers and facilitators to practice online radical hospitality and use tools of popular education in service to our radical and progressive movements. We’re pleased to announce this free, monthly practice space as a continuation of our popular workshops: Power of Online Spaces, Online Connection 101, Radical Hospitality, and Still Zoomin’: Tech for Online Movements.

Be a part of the Hub.. These facilitated clinics offer space for the growing number of online trainers and tech support leads who want to hone their skills - in community. Together, we’ll share updates on Zoom, technical tips and tricks, practice (play) with the tools, and deepen our understanding of accessibility and radical hospitality.

Register once and be invited to each monthly clinic.

Participants will leave with...

  • information on new features and updates in Zoom
  • hands-on practice time for various Zoom features, e.g. breakout rooms, waiting room chat
  • conversations that address online facilitation questions, big and small
  • the experience of emergent design and facilitation
  • community of fellow practitioners
  • deepening of accessibility practices

These clinics are open only to past participants of our Online Methodology Offerings.

You must have attended one or more of the following
  • Tech Support Lead Training
  • The Power of Online Spaces
  • Online Connection 101
  • PeoplesHub’s large group Radical Hospitality trainings (such as those led for AFL-CIO and AMC and Alternate Roots conferences)
  • Still Zoomin: Tech for Online Movements

Before registering, see above prerequisite. If you have any questions about whether you are eligible to attend, or would like to be invited to future trainings, please reach out to info@peopleshub.org.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Cost

Free for those who meet the prerequisites!

At PeoplesHub we are committed to communication access, radical hospitality, supporting facilitators, and making our offerings financially accessible. Donations allow us to continue offering programs like this one and pay speakers, tech support leads, interpreters, captioners, and other support staff a fair wage for their time and expertise. Like you, those who support our trainings work hard for change in their communities and have often developed the knowledge, skill and gifts that they are offering through many unpaid hours — let’s support them to be sustainable in their work and craft!
