Derek Ford

Derek Ford is a teacher, organizer, and educational theorist who works at DePauw University teaching courses on how education has, does, and will help us struggle for, imagine, and enact liberatory ways of being together. They’ve published a few books, journal articles, and popular pieces in places like Black Agenda Report, Monthly Review, and Orinoco Tribune. Derek is the editor of Liberation School and a main editor at the Hampton Institute, as well as for some academic journals. He primarily organizes with the ANSWER Coalition and the Indianapolis Liberation Center. Much of his international work focuses on the Korean struggle.
