Accessibility

Last updated 29 August 2025. Written by Jessica Oddi.

This is not an accessibility statement for compliance alone. Jessica made this website with the belief that Access is Love (a project by Alice Wong, Mia Mingus, and Sandy Ho).

Website Development

We created this custom website using Webflow. PeoplesHub conforms to WCAG 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) at levels A, AA, and some at AAA. We also used community practices. Larger font sizes, ample contrast and spacing, as well as designs for high contrast mode.

Screen widths below 991px will trigger a single column layout. This may give a better experience for those with zoom or magnifying software. If there are issues with Third-party platforms, please let us know! It may be out of our control, but we will assist with providing solutions.

Testing Methods

This website was tested with automated tools and manual methods. WAVE and ARC Toolkit resulted in 0 errors. Jessica also tested with the following techniques and devices:

  • Browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
  • Devices: iMac Sequoia, Windows Surface Studio 2, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, iPhone, and iPad.
  • Screen Readers: VoiceOver and TalkBack site-wide. Narrator and NVDA for frameworks (header, footer, main dynamic and static content).
  • Alternate Nav: Voice Control, Voice Access, and keyboard-only.
  • Misc: Browser zoom 200%. Windows magnifier and high contrast mode. Apple inverted colours.

Community Feedback

Accessibility is a commitment that must adapt over time. It involves going beyond a checklist for compliance. Feedback helps us to better serve the disability community.
