The Solidarity Economy Principles Community of Practice is a peer-to-peer space to share, learn, and vision together with other Solidarity Economy organizations. Over the past two years participating organizations have deepened both their relationships with each other, as well as their analyses of the conditions under which we are building.

Overview and Times

The Community of Practice meets over Zoom 5 times a year, with suggested homework between gatherings.

As a peer-led space, participants take active roles in shaping the content, homework, structure, and overall environment of our gatherings. This can take many forms, such as:

  • Bringing a live issue your org is dealing with related to the principles to workshop;
  • Sharing case studies that illustrate particular principles and practices;
  • Suggesting readings for the group to complete in between sessions; and more!

We also host 'Dream Time' sessions over Zoom on the last Thursday of each month from 12pm-1pm ET. These sessions are intended to be spacious places where we can talk in a more informal way about our organizing and learn from one another.
