Kareen Coyoca

Kareen (they/them) is a queer Filipinx community organizer and facilitator with over a decade in social and economic justice movements. Their work and organizing spans from the U.S. to South Africa to Myanmar to the Philippines in interactive and popular education, human rights and anti-imperialism activism, training of organizers and facilitators, teaching on the Global Non-Profit Industrial Complex, and youth leadership development.

At PeoplesHub, Kareen works on planning and managing public offerings including programming on the Global Far right and White Supremacy.

Kareen currently volunteers with the Filipino Migrant Center and organizes with PUSO-SoCal on global solidarity against imperialism. Kareen is based on unceded Tongva land also known as Long Beach, CA, and can be found hiking, cooking for friends, eating all the things, practicing various creative mediums, and supporting local art and music.
