This event has occurred.
This event has occurred.

In 2023 alone, the Far Right has plotted to attack power grids, has protested against gender affirming care and critical race theory, has disseminated propaganda and acts of violence, has consolidated political power in numerous states, has received millions in funding, and has grown their numbers. Join PeoplesHub for a circle where we’ll learn about what has led to the rise of the Far Right, how they are currently influencing and organizing, and what we can do in our communities and movements to unite together and combat them.

Program Full-Description

It’s been two years since the U.S. Capital Riots in 2021 rocked our news feeds, and since then the Far Right has increasingly become an urgent threat to progressive change and oppressed communities. The rise of the far right has been decades in the making, spurred by global crises of capitalism and enacted with xenophobia and violence. Through methods of organizing, the Far Right is building its mass base by permeating communities with rhetoric, ideology, and recruitment to their forces.

Join Peoples Hub for a circle where we’ll learn about what has led to the rise of the Far Right, how they are influencing and organizing, and what we can do in our communities and movements to unite together and combat them.

Participants will leave with….

  • Analysis of what has led to the rise of the Far Right and how they are influencing and organizing
  • Understanding of the Far Right’s threat to progressive movements
  • Ideas of what we can do in our communities and movements to unite together and combat them

Accessibility:

Access requests, including interpretation and captioners, can be made during registration or by emailing Dustin Gibson at dustin@peopleshub.org.  Requests for interpreters and captioners that are made less than 48 hours before the event typically are more difficult to meet. What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
